Jess Clements organises the session try outs. If you would like to email her she can be contacted as follows: [email protected]

When swimmers join either the disability learn to swim or Para squad , our lead para teacher / coach have a conversation with swimmers and parents to understand their needs and how sessions can be tailored accordingly. Depending on the level of swimming proficency, sessions could involve working on a particular stroke, turns, dives, fitness, or something else. Where applicable, we will work with the swimmer’s coach of other sessions to provide additional support (for example by writing adjustments to sets or specific drills).

What will the sessions involve?

Para Squad

The aim of the sessions is to support swimmers to achieve their potential through improvements in technique, individual support plans to increase progress during other swimming sessions, working towards competitions and making friends and having fun.

Disability Learn to Swim

Learn to swim lessons in a fun and supportive environment where children can progress along their own swimming journey. Group size is kept small - between 4 and 6 swimmers. The lessons will follow the National Plan for Teaching Swimming which aims to develop water confidence and a range of swimming stroke and aquatic skills.
