We are a competitive, inclusive and friendly swimming club with over 900 members from children learning to swim to adult masters swimmers - and everything in between!

Welcome to our new-look club - a result of a merger between Bristol Penguins and Soundwell Swimming Clubs. Bristol & South Gloucestershire (BSG) Swimming Club builds on and continues the work of these two successful swimming clubs. The coming together of the two clubs provides an opportunity to allow us to strive for better competitive outcomes for our swimmers whilst ensuring we continue to have a club that provides for a broad range of swimmers with a community centered approach.

Looking to join a swimming club? We offer a mix of groups to cater for a range of different swimmers:-

• Learn 2 Swim for young children - Swim England Stages 1 to 6
• Swim Academy for younger children up to 10 years old - Swim England Stages 5 to 8
• Junior Development Squads for 8 to 12 year olds starting off their competitive swim journey
• Competitive Squads for those age 13 years and above swimming at county and regional level.
• Performance Squads for those who swim at regional and national level. 
• Club Squads - for swimmers age 10 years + who seek a less competitive swim club experience and a lighter committment. 
• A dedicated Masters Squad for adult swimmers wishes to train for fitness/health and/or compete. 
• A learn to swim pathway for those with additional needs and a Para group for swimmers age 10+ years
